Openlp.org ist in mehrere Teams aufgeteilt, nämlich:

  • Entwicklung
  • Support
  • Administration
Entwickler-Team: Raoul Snyman Position: Hauptentwickler / Projekt-Administrator Beruf: Senior developer (PHP) Über ihn: : Raoul lebt in Cape Town, Südafrika. Er ist mit Hannah verheiratet, und erwartet für August den ersten Nachwuchs. Raoul arbeitet für die Webseite CareerJunction, wo er Web-Applikationen in Python schreibt. Er ist ein Open Source Enthusiast, der Linux überall bewirbt, wo er nur kann. Auf seinem Desktop läuft Kubuntu Linux.

 

Raoul hatte mit Computern zu tun, seit ers sich erinnern kann. Er hat seine ersten Programme mit 10 Jahren in BASIC geschrieben, hat dann auf Pascal gewechselt, das er auch an der Schule verwendete. An der Uni lernte er noch eine Reihe von Sprachen darunter C++ und Java, und brachte sich selbst PHP, CSS, HTML, und als letztes Python bei. Raoul ist noch in einige andere Open Source Projekte neben Openlp.org involviert, z.B. in einen Projektmanager und bei OpenWorship.
Derek Scotney Position: Entwickler Beruf: Programmierer Über ihn: Derek lebt seiner Frau Angela und seinen Kindern in Pretoria, Südafrika.
Josh Newman Position: Entwickler Beruf: Architekt Über ihn: Josh entwirft, baut und integriert High Performance Computing (HPC) Systeme für größere Unternehmen. These systems are typically used for virtual stress-testing of prototypes before they are physically manufactured.

 

Like Raoul, Josh has been involved in computers since he was young. His first programs were written on a TRS-80 Color Computer that had a cassette tape for a disk drive. In High School, Josh learned Pascal and C. Now, he also programs in Java, PHP, C++, Perl, and .NET.

 

Josh currently lives in Florida, but will be moving back home, to Texas, soon. Support Team: David Bunce Position: Head of Support Day job: Student A little bit more: David helps out on the openlp.org support team in between studying for the intensely demanding International Baccalaureate in England. Not gifted enough to be one of the many clever monkeys tapping away on keyboards to produce openlp.org, he instead works at being the friendly face which attempts to resolve the problems created by said clever moneys. Administration Team: Richard Banks Position: Systems Administrator/Web Master Day job: Web Developer A little bit more: Richard lives in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has his own Web Development company.
